Saying Goodbye to 2021

The year 2021 is coming to a close. There are ups and downs throughout this year just like any other year. During the pandemic, the roller coaster is a lot more chaotic.

A lot of spirit lights have ascended into the sky. A lot of tears have fallen. It is easy to look at the sadness, the grief, and be pulled into that black whirlpool into the abyss.

The past is behind us, the pain hurts but we need to take the steps forward. We can look back periodically but we cannot let it be the focus or we will stumble on our walk.

The picture shown is one of the happy moments in my year. It comes from the last photoshoot that I have done. It reminds me of the joy I get from associating with the bright lights still among us.

It reminds me that we can always choose to look at the dark or the light.

I choose to walk into the new year facing the dawn and not the shadows.
