Apache Superset is actually a big data BI visualization tool and is a modern big data exploration and visualization platform that allows users to build dashboards quickly and easily using a simple code, a free visualization builder and the most advanced SQL editor.

The project was launched on Airbnb in 2015 and entered the Apache incubator in May 2017.

Using superset to build a chart requires a certain amount of SQL usage experience and a prior understanding of the database table structure. For non-technical personnel (such as products and operations), basically only pre-built dashboards (Dashboard) can be used.

The system is subdivided, requiring managers to spend a lot of time dividing the permissions of users and the use of the team, charts and boards do not introduce the concept of folders or groups, so traditional enterprises need to consider carefully when using superset.
